Another Unexpected Championship Game
Thursday, March 9, 2017 3:12:24 PM

Well just like last season it appears the underdogs have dominated the playoffs and will be featured in the championship game next week. You have to enjoy a good upset!

The first semi-final match was between the 1 seed Bayside taking on the 4 seed Polonez NY in a pretty equal matchup on paper as both teams were itching for the coveted Globall Trophy. Bayside pounced on top of Polonez early as they took the early 2-0 lead and held their own on defense as their keeper made save after save while the defenders in front of him made block after block trying to preserve the 2 goal lead. Then the flood gates opened with under 10 minutes left in the game as Polonez scored a goal to cut the lead in half. With time ticking Bayside put up a valent effort on the defensive end but with 15 seconds left on the clock Marcin Januszko scored the game tying goal which forced the game to go into sudden death overtime. Both teams were hungry for the win as they both put up brick walls in front of their goals as the game was looking like it was going to go into PKs until it happened. Off a corner kick Bayside goalie punched the ball in front of his net perfectly setting up Konstantin Gorbatch for the perfect shot into the net for the game winning goal sending Polonez into the championship game and sealing the first upset of the night!

The next semi-final game was the 2 seed Coaches FC taking on the 3 seed Chile NY with the winner obviously facing Polonez in the championship game next week. Well Chile came out firing as they jumped into the lead quickly and never  let it go as they went on to win 7-3 with the help of Eduardo Espinoza’s 4 goals and Fransico Marchant’s 3 goals.

The next two games were games pitting the 5v6 and 7v8 with the first game being the 5 seed FC taking on the 6 seed Deportivo with the only thing on the line being pride. Well I guess FC is feeling more pride after tonight as they won the game by the score of 8-6 with the help of Alex Oliveria hat trick.

The final game of the night was the battle of the winless teams Tepeyac and Asaro both teams looking for their first win of the season. Well thanks to Pietro Asaro and Franklyn Solarte for each scoring 2 goals that helped lead Asaro ahead of Tepeyac by the score of 6-5.

Next week’s championship is going to be one epic game as the underdogs play for the coveted Globall Trophy and bragging rights across the country! Who’s going to win the championship? Tune in next week only at Globall Sports Center. You got game? We want you to play!

Championship Game is Set
Wednesday, March 8, 2017 12:09:07 AM

Well the championship game that everyone was expecting isn’t going to be happening after all. Instead one team pulled off a huge upset to make it into the championship game and they are going to be playing against the top dogs in the league next week

First off before we get to the semi-finals we had an exhibition game take place as the Bethpage Strikers took on the Bethpage Bandits in the office battle of the century. Last week the Bandits took the win and this week the Strikers were out for revenge. Well revenge is best served cold as they beat their arch rivals by the score of 6-5 with the help of Dana Yool scoring 2 goals in the win. The tie-breaker will be played next week. The losing team will be buying breakfast for the office the next day (ok maybe not but they should!).

Now time to get into the thick of it as the first semi-final game pitted Bout to Get Messi and PBA FC in the 1v4 game of the night. Well there wasn’t any surprise in this match as Messi cruised to an easy win over PBA by the score of 11-2. Ashley Guerrero scored 5 goals in the win as well.

Now here is the game of the night as the 2v3 game was between Lucas’ Little Leos and Mixed Nuts. Now earlier in the season Lucas dominated Mixed Nuts and everyone expected them to do the same thing again tonight in the semi-final game, but Mixed Nuts had a different plan in mind. They came out firing as Adam Whitehead launched a near half field shot into the net minutes into the game and it was a battle ever since. Mixed Nuts never gave up the lead throughout the match and just managed to squeak out an 8-7 victory over the Little Leos. Jennifer Roveto and Adam Whitehead each scored a hat trick in the match.

Next week’s championship game will feature the 1 seed Bout to get Messi taking on the 3 seed Mixed Nuts in the championship game if the century! Only one team can claim the most coveted and desired trophy in sports next week. Who will that team be? Well there’s only one place to find out, Globall Sports Center! You got game? We want you to play!

Interesting… Just Interesting
Tuesday, February 28, 2017 12:45:41 AM

With 10 teams and only 4 playoff spots available every game counts as only 40% of the teams make it into the Globall Sports Center playoffs. Every team wants that trophy at the end so it is no surprise when the tension rises the closer it gets to the end of the season.

The first game of the week was between Sporting FC and PBD Academy where neither team had their regular goalie in the lineup that night. However the score didn’t really show that as Tommy Vlahos and David Ferreira stepped up in net and kept the game close and competitive. However Sporting FC still came out on top by the score of 6-4 thanks in large part to Zach Gould and Michael Carlos each scoring a hat trick in the match.

The next game of the week was between the two greatest team names ever in Monday Sauce and 2 Goals 1 Cup. If there were a championship between teams with the best names these two would be in the finals for sure. However the top 4 teams in the league are determined based off points so because of that Monday Sauce claimed the crucial 3 points when they won the game by the score of 6-4. Anthony Castillo participated in every goal score by scoring 5 goals and adding an assist in the 6th goal as well.

The third game was between Gold Coast Fc and Astoria United as Astoria wanted to keep their already strong lead in the league and with the win tonight they held the lead. It was an easy win as they came out on top by the score of 7-2 with the help of George Spanos hat trick.

The fourth game of the week was the Pancyprian Rejects taking on CYP FC in another exciting match up with neither team having any subs during the game. This game was all about endurance and who can last the longest without getting winded. In the end Pancyprian lasted the longest as they came out on top by the score of 6-4 with the help of Christos Zisimatos scoring 4 goals in the win.

The final game of the week took place between the Massholes and Alemania as the Massholes were looking to bring the first loss in recent Alemania history. Boy were they successful in doing that as they blew them away by the score of 7-2 while being carried on the back of Jimmy Nealis who scored 4 goals in the win.

With this week’s results some teams have been eliminated from the playoffs while others inch closer to clinching a birth in it. Nothing has been set in stone quite yet as far as clinching a spot but that may change next week. Who’s going to clinch? Find out only at Globall Sports Center. You got game? We want you to play!

What a Week!
Friday, February 17, 2017 12:05:21 AM

Tonight all teams are playing and still fighting for playoff spots. Expect these games to be intense and very competitive. They are going to have to come with their A games to be victorious tonight. Tonight’s highlights are:

In tonight’s first game, SFCC and Tag NYC Vida faced off. It was a very competitive game from start to finish. Both teams were playing with intensity and with tons of heart throughout the entire game. It was tied or close to it most of the game, but Tag NYC Vida came out with the W tonight. Alex Portillo and Horacio Sagastume led the way with 2 goals each. Overall it was a great game to watch with NYC Vida winning 6-4

In the second game of tonight’s triple header, Garden City SC and Arsenal battled it out on the pitch. Right from the start of the game Garden City SC controlled this game. They passed the ball beautifully the entire game and came out with the 8-2 victory. Ed Vincent was an animal tonight and led the way with 5 goals.

In the last game of the night it was between Flintstones and Mineola Thunder. This game was incredible intense and neither team was able to score a goal. Both defenses came ready to play and really put on a defensive clinic. There were amazing defensive plays throughout the whole game.

Teams still have some work to do if they want to make it into the playoffs. All teams came ready to play today and still have time to get in playoff positions. It was a great night of soccer with talent all over the field. “You got game. We want you to play.”

Fight On!
Thursday, February 16, 2017 12:38:37 AM

As teams enter the final stretch of the season no one has yet to clinch a playoff spot. Two teams have already been mathematically eliminated while the remaining six teams still have a shot. Tonight’s games were crucial in the playoff race.

The first match of the night was between Coaches FC and Tepeyac. The game was an intense battle as neither team wanted to lose. Coaches FC played just a bit harder as they went on to win by the score of 5-2. Nahun Gomez scored 2 goals in the win.

The next game was between Bayside and Asaro as Asaro was looking for their first win of the season trying to reclaim their championship form from last season. Unfortunately they fell short of the win by 10 goals as Bayside walked all over them and won the game 13-3. Alessandro Acquista scored 4 goals while Keith Strassberg and Greg Westfall each scored a hat trick as well

The third match was between FC and Chile NY. Chile looked like they were going to win the game when they were leading the game by 3 goals with less than 10 minutes remaining in the game. It looked like smooth sailing until their goalie went down with an injury and FC took quick advantage of that as they stormed back and was able to tie the game 6-6. Alex Oliveria and Marcus Velez each scored a hat trick for FC while Fransico Marchant and Tulio Argueta scored 2 goals apiece for Chile.

The fourth and final game of the night took place between Polonez NY and Deportivo. During the game four different goal scorers for Polonez scored 2 goals as they went on to win by the score of 9-2 to help their chances in clinching a playoff berth.

With playoff spots still remaining it is basically still anyone’s game. The final week of regular season games will be picked back up in two weeks with the playoffs to start the following week. Who will finish on top? Find out only at Globall Sports Center. You got game? We want you to play!

Playoff Teams Determined!
Tuesday, February 14, 2017 11:49:36 PM

Well with only 1 more week remaining in the season the top 4 teams have already been determined for playoffs. Now all that remains is the final standings and who’s going to play who in the playoff format. That will be determined next week. This is how teams clinched a playoff berth this week.

The first game of the night was PBA FC taking on the Bethpage Strikers. What this came down to was if PBA won they would clinch a spot in the playoffs so they were hungry for the win. The game started close as both teams were feeling each other out but eventually PBA took off and scored goal after goal and eventually won the game by the score of 8-2. Scott Leeb scored the hat trick in the win as well.

The next game was against the already playoff bound Lucas’ Little Leos taking on the Bethpage Bandits. With nothing to lose Lucas’ Little Leos was playing for the stats as they rolled to an 11-4 win over Bethpage with Geronimo Gutierez scoring 4 goals for his squad. Shannon Murphy also chipped in 2 goals herself.

The final game of the night was between Mixed Nuts and Bout to get Messi as both teams had already clinched a playoff spot as well. Bout to get Messi came out on top at the end of the game by the score of 11-2 with Leoandro Arra scoring a hat trick in the win.

Next week will determine the final standing heading into playoffs as the first seeded Bout to get Messi battle seconded seeded Lucas’ Little Leos in the battle of the undefeated. Whoever wins the match will claim sole possession of first place in the league. Who will get that spot? Find out only at Globall Sports Center! You got game? We want you to play!

Playoff Push Continues On
Tuesday, February 14, 2017 12:41:12 AM

As teams are still trying to get a playoff spot every point matters. You would rather tie a game then lose a game so you could get at least 1 point instead of 0. The top 4 spots in the league are still up for grabs so it is still anyone’s game!

First game of the week was between the Pancyprian Rejects and 2 Goals 1 Cup in an intense, tight game as the game ended in a 2-2 tie. However if it wasn’t for the last minute goal scored by 2 Goals’ Cristian Molano, Pancyprian would have won the game but that is why you never give up until the final whistle blows.

The next game of the week was between Alemania and CYP FC as CYP wanted end Alemania’s winning streak that’s been going on since the fall season. Unfortunately they fell short by the score of 7-2 as Mariano Belen, Christian Kapper, and Shaun Foster each scored 2 goals in the win.

The third match was between Astoria United and Sporting FC in a blowout turned close game as Astoria looked like they were going to run away with the game until Sporting started to crawl back. Unfortunately they weren’t able to crawl just enough and lost the match 11-8 as Robbie Webster made some clutch saves to keep his team alive. Alexander Schweitzer scored 5 goals in the win as well.

The next battle was between the Massholes and PBD Academy as the Massholes took the ball and ran away with the game as they cruised to an easy 12-3 win. James Varrichio scored 5 goals while Dave Falcones scored 4 goals in the win.

The final game of the week was between Gold Coast FC and Monday Sauce as this was by far the most intense match of the week! Both teams were equally matched as Gold Coast scored the first goal of the night followed by 2 goals by Monday Sauce, followed by 2 more goals for Gold Coast, and finally Monday Sauce scoring the equalizer. The game ended in a 4-4 tie as Anthony Castillo scored the hat trick for Monday Sauce.

As the season draws closer to the end nobody has been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs so there is still a chance but the window is quickly closing for some teams. Next week’s games are going to be very important so stay tuned for the latest and breaking news only at Globall Sports Center. You got game? We want you to play!

The Season Inches towards the End
Thursday, February 9, 2017 12:49:33 AM

With little room for error in this league every game is a must win for everyone. With 8 teams fighting for only 4 playoff spots you know things are going to get a little intense as the season creeps on. Who came out on top this week? Find out below.

The first match-up of the night was between Polonez NY and Chile NY in a closely contested battle. Chile NY took a 2-0 lead with the game more than half-way over until Polonez stormed back to tie the game at 2-2 in mere minutes. Both teams traded one more goal as keeper Kevin Escobar made 3 clutch saves at the end for Chile to preserve the tie and the crucial 1 point in the standings as the game ended in a 3-3 draw.

The second match-up was between Bayside and FC in what appeared to be an equal match on paper, however FC took full control of the game as they put on relentless pressure throughout the match and put in 8 goals in the 8-2 victory. Ricardo Veloso was playing like Tim Howard in his prime making fantastic Sportcenter top 10 worthy saves in the win as well. When he’s hot nothing is going to get passed him!

The third and final game of the night was the rematch from last season’s Over 30 championship between Asaro and Coaches FC with Asaro coming out on top in that match. Coaches FC was looking for revenge as they wanted to prove they were the better team. Well they proved their point as they went on to win 6-2. Nahun Gomez and Jose Melendez each scored 2 goals in the win for Coaches.

With only two more games remaining in the regular season almost every team is still in contention for a playoff spot. Next week the battle will continue on only at Globall Sports Center. You got game? We want you to play!

Week 3 Excitement!!
Wednesday, February 8, 2017 12:10:48 AM

Week 3 kicked off where teams are fighting hard for playoff spots. Tonight’s games were very competitive and everyone came to play. The highlights from tonight are as followed:

The first game of tonight was between PBA FC and the Bethpage Bandits. Right from the start PBA FC began to take over the game. They were all over the filed passing the beautifully waiting for the perfect chance to score. The Bethpage Bandits competed well but overall PBA FC was the better team today. Scott Leeb led the way for PBA FC with 2 goals. PBA FC came away with the win 5-0.

The second game of tonight’s trio of games was between Mixed Nuts and Lucio’s Little Leos. This was a very intense and competitive game. The score doesn’t do justice on how close this game was. It was tied at 2 until the last 10-15 minutes. Lucas Munoz and Lucio Sorto led the way for Lucio’s Little Leos with 2 goals each. At the end of the night Lucio’s Litle Leos came away with the victory 7-3.

The last game of tonights coed games was the most one sided game of the night. Bout To Get Messi came out hitting on all cylinders and started right from the start. They had 3 players that had at least 3 goals one being MVP Krystal Guerrero. Bethpage Strikers came out and tried to compete, but tonight was just Bout To Get Messi’s night. The final score ended up being 16-3.

Week 4 kicks off next week as there are still teams fighting for a playoff spot. Only place to see the action is here at Globall Sports Centers. You got game, we want you to play!

What a Week!
Tuesday, February 7, 2017 12:49:09 AM

Week 2 started off with a bang as every team is still mathematically eligible for the playoffs as it is still quite early in the season. However teams must win as many games as possible to even have a shot in the playoffs so every game matters even week 2 games.

The first match of the night was between Sporting FC and CYP FC as Sporting took early control of the game and never let go as they cruised to an easy 8-1 win. It doesn’t hurt that the league leading scorer chipped in 4 goals for their team in the win.

The next game was the battle of Gold Coast FC and the Pancyprian Rejects. Once again this was another blowout as Gold Coast manhandled Pancyprian as they also cruised to an easy 6-2 win. Michael Todd and DJ Stock scored 2 goals for their squad in the win.

The next game was a much better match as Alemania took on Monday Sauce in what turned out to be a much more competitive match than expected. Both teams were keeping up with each other as neither team took a huge lead throughout the match as they were trading goals back and forth. Despite Christian Savaria’s hat trick for Monday Sauce Alemania proved once again why they are the 2-time repeating champions as they went on to win the match 6-4.

The fourth and final match of the night was between Astoria United and PBD Academy in what turned out to be the most exciting match of the night as both teams combined to score 17 total goals between them. With it being an odd number of goals someone had to have scored more goals with the team being Astoria United as they went on to win by the score of 9-8. Kurt Cameron and Alexander Schweitzer each scored a hat trick in the win.

Week 2 was an interesting week as teams should know where they stand by now in the league at this point. Some teams to rebound while others need to remain strong but only one team can claim the trophy. Who is that going to be? Only one place to find out here at Globall Sports Center. You got game? We want you to play!

Every Game Matters
Friday, February 3, 2017 12:56:25 AM

Have you ever watched a NBA or MLB pre-game show and hear the host say “Every game matters in this league!” Well I don’t know how every game matters in an 82 or 162 game season but I can tell you one thing when there are only 5 regular season games until playoffs you know every game really does matter. If you really want to come out on top of this league you must win as many games as possible.

The first match of the night was between Tag NYC Vida vs. Garden City SC in an exciting intense battle. Both teams played outstanding shut down defense keeping the score low and close throughout the game as both teams were only able to score 5 goals total with the advantage going to Garden City SC as they won by the score of 3-2. Bjorgvin Fridriksson scored 2 goals for GCSC in their win.

The next game was between Flintstones and SCFC as both teams combined to score 10 goals total amongst them with Flintstones coming from behind to win the game by the score of 6-4 to get their first victory in almost 3 months. Manny Koundourakis scored 2 goals which helped push his team ahead just enough to claim the victory. Can someone say Yabba Dabba Doo!

The third and final match of the night was between Mineola Thunder and Arsenal as this game turned out to be the highest scoring match of the night as both teams scored 13 goals combined. Mineola took the early lead in the game but Arsenal eventually seized ahead of them and never looked back as they went on to win by the score of 7-6. Michael Todd scored 4 goals on the night while William Umanzor of Arsenal scored the hat trick.

With the win tonight Arsenal is the sole undefeated team in the league and currently has sole possession of first place. Will anyone ruin their winning streak? Tune in as the regular season continues on only at Globall Sports Center. You got game? We want you to play!

Week Two Is In the Books
Tuesday, January 31, 2017 11:34:36 PM

Week two is here and teams are ready to play! We have three match ups that you’re not going to want to miss. Here’s a recap of what happened tonight!

First match of the night took place between the Bethpage Strikers and last season’s champions Lucas’ Little Leos in what started out as a close game that soon blew out of proportion. The game was semi-close as it was only 3-0 Lucas’ with about 25 minutes remaining in the game until they finally caught fire and went on to claim the win by the score of 8-1. Lucio Sorto scored 4 goals in the match as Kyle Brennan played phenomenal shut down defense blocking shot after shot to preserve the victory for his squad.

Second game of the night was between Bout to Get Messi and PBA FC and only one team showed up to play as Messi dominated the match and took the win by the score of 10-0. 7 goal scorers chipped in at least one goal for Messi with Krystal Guerrero and Karin Simonian scoring 2 goals apiece.

The final game of the night was a contest between Mixed Nuts and Bethpage Bandits. Mixed Nuts made their presence known early by taking a 3-0 lead in the first five minutes. Continuing their dominance all game long, they were able to sweep by the Bandits with a soothing 12-1 victory.

That wraps up week two! The competition will only get harder here at Globall Sports Centers! You got game? We want YOU to play!

The Technical Start of the Season
Tuesday, January 31, 2017 1:00:08 AM

After an unfortunate weather delay the previous week the season finally kicked off for the Men’s Competitive league as the teams were eager to get the season started. All of them aiming for the coveted Globall Sports Center Trophy and the only team in their way from winning that was 2x reigning champion Alemania. Defeat Alemania and you may have a shot at the title.

First game of the night took place between Astoria United and the Massholes. Both teams were equal in talent on paper and it as proven tonight as both teams were lighting up the scoreboard. Goals were flying in from all angles and once the dust finally settled 16 goals total were scored. The teams tied the match 8-8. Tonight’s MVP James Altadonna scored 5 goals for his team Massholes and Stephen Megaloudis scored the hat trick for Astoria.

Second game of the night took place between Sporting FC and Monday Sauce. Both teams played well defensively and most of the goals were scored late. Sporting FC was led by Leandro Arra with 2 goals. It was a very intense game with a lot of skilled players on the pitch. However, one team had to come out on top. Tonight Sporting Fc was a bit better then Monday Sauce and took the 5-2 victory.

Next featured the 2x reigning champions Alemania battling new-comers Pancyprian Rejects in an usually low scoring affair for Alemania as they managed to squeak out a 5-2 victory. There were 7 different goal scorers put the ball into the back of net tonight during the match.

The fourth and final match of the night took place between 2 Goals 1 Cup vs. Gold Coast FC in another exciting match. Once again both teams were equal on paper but once again one team had to come out on top with that team being 2 Goals 1 Cup by the score of 3-1. Christoforos Koumas scored 2 goals in the win as well.

Even though this was supposed to be week 2 of the season all the teams played like it was already week 7. Every game was a close battle so this may be the season Alemania gets dethroned but only time will tell. There’s only one place you can see for yourself right here at Globall Sports Center. You got game? We want you to play!

Men's Over 30 Division 1 Off to a Great Start!
Friday, January 27, 2017 12:31:12 AM

Great Competitive start to the Season

They don’t call this league Over Division 1 for nothing. These teams want to come out and win and no matter who stands in their path they want to climb that mountain to the trophy. Every game was an intense battle till the end. With such a short regular season ahead of them every game matters.

The first Over 30 game of the night took place between FC and Coaches FC. Coaches FC started the game off strong taking the early lead and did not allow FC to climb back to the top as they took the first win of the season by the score of 9-4. Last season’s golden boot winner really wants to repeat that title and scoring 5 goals in the win definitely helped him take the early lead in that race.

The next game was between Tepeyac and Polonez NY in another intense match. Tepeyac took the early 2-0 lead in the game until Polonez scored 4 unanswered goals to take the lead away from them which eventually led to their victory by the score of 4-3. With 7 goals scored tonight there were also 7 different goal scorers as well.

The third game of the week was between last season’s champions Asaro and Chile NY. Chile was determined to dethrone the champions in the season opener to claim top dog in the league and they were successful after beating Asaro by the score of 6-3. Pablo Perez was the MVP of the night after playing shut down defense all game long while chipping in two goals as well.

The final match of the night was exciting! It was a match up between Deportivo and Bayside. Bayside came out strong and was able to take an early 5-0 lead. But Deportivo was able to fight there way pack and score five goals. Unfortunately Bayside offense couldnt be stopped as they put in three more goals to win 8-5.

And that a wrap for week. Divison 1 Men's Over 30 league is competitive and you can see that!  Globall Sports Centers you got game? We want YOU to play!

The Casual Beginning
Friday, January 27, 2017 12:06:03 AM

Pretty smooth start to the season as all the teams in this league want to come out and enjoy the atmosphere and aren’t too worried about winning. Of course you want to win but it is all about enjoying the ride as well and these teams enjoyed the ride tonight.

First game featured two brand new teams as Tag NYC Vida faced off against the Mineola Thunder in their inaugural games of their careers. Both teams trying to build chemistry from the bottom up, as they took the first half to feel each other out before striking. The second half was a goal scoring palooza as both teams scored 5 goals total. NYC came out on top 3-2. Yahaya Musa scored both goals for the Thunder in the loss.

The next game was the battle between two returning teams as Flintstones took on Arsenal. Again both teams wanted to feel each other out before going on the full attack. Arsenal took the lead early and never gave it up as they went on to win 4-3 with the help of William Umanzor’s hat trick.

The third and final game of the night was once again the battle of two new franchises as Garden City FC took on SCFC. Both teams didn’t wait long to strike as they both scored goals quickly to open the match. At the end it was the highest scoring game of the night as SCFC came out on top by the score of 6-4. Danny Grella scored the hat trick in the win as well.

If the rest of the games this season are the same as these games tonight it is going to be a fantastic season. Action picks back up again next week only at Globall Sports Center. You got game? We want you to play!

Bumpy Start to the Coed Season
Wednesday, January 25, 2017 12:00:47 AM

To say Week 1 of the Coed season was a bumpy start in an understatement as none of the games tonight were even close. Three teams dominated the night while three teams struggled to find their footing to start the season. With only 5 regular season games before playoffs every game matters so hopefully those three teams come back in the next couple of weeks.

First game of the night was between two new-comers to the league as the Bethpage Bandits took on Bout to get Messi. You knew it was going to be a long game when Bout to get Messi scored the opening goal in under 10 seconds and they did not take their foot off the gas pedal as they cruised to an easy 19-0 victory. Ashley Guerrero scored 5 goals in the win for her squad.

The next game was between the Bethpage Strikers and Mixed Nuts. This game was a touch closer as Mixed Nuts only won by 8 to the Strikers with the final score of 10-2. Adam Whitehead, Shane McLaughlin, and Jennifer Roveto each scored a hat trick on the night.

The third and final game was the battle between last season’s champions Lucas’ Little Leo’s and new-comers PBA FC. With the help of Lucas Munoz’s 4 goals and Lucio Sorto’s 3 goals Lucas’ Little Leo’s went on to dominate the match by the score of 13-1.

Week 2 of the season kicks off next week as the teams on the losing try to redeem themselves to claim a playoff spot. You can catch the action only at Globall Sports Center. You got game? We want you to play!

Pretty much Playoffs Week 1
Thursday, January 12, 2017 11:46:35 PM

Almost every game that was played this week had playoff implications on the line. This was pretty much the wild card round of the playoffs for most of the teams in this league. The highlights are as followed.

First game of the week had consisted of Hicksville versus Handicap. Hicksville came to play right away going up 3-0 early. With a comeback looking close for Handicap bringing the game back 3-2. Hicksville wasn’t letting that happen by scoring 7 more goals to cap off a huge 9-2 victory.

The next game was Polonez NY taking on Hicksville in their second game of the week in a crucial match with major playoff implications on the line. Basically if Hicksville won they still had a shot at playoffs but if they lose they would be eliminated. Unfortunately Polonez decided to play the spoilers as they defeated Hicksville 6-2 Grzegorz Kaplan and Kozuchowicz each scored 2 goals apiece for Polonez.

The third game of the week featured Tepeyac and Asaro. This was basically a playoff game since the winner would clinch a spot in the playoffs. Apparently Asaro wanted it more as they came out on top by the score of 4-1. It was scoreless 15 minutes into the game until Asaro broke the ice and didn’t relinquish the lead after that. George Gonzalez scored twice for his squad.

Next was Coaches FC taking on Chile NY in another “playoff” match-up. Another win and you’re in scenario. Coaches scored early in the match to take the 1-0 lead and that score remained throughout most of the match until Coaches scored another 3 goals  in under 10 minutes to take the game by the score of 4-0. Nahun Gomez scored twice for them.

In a wrap up game where the only thing on the line was pride and it took place between Flintstones and FC. Second to last Week Drama
Monday, January 9, 2017 11:53:09 PM

As this is the second to last week of the season each team wants to come out on top and they need every win from this point on to become champions.

First game of the night was between Sporting FC and Nassau United as both teams were tied 5-5 with less than 1 minute remaining in the game until Zach Gould of Sporting made a spectacular pass to David Ferreira in box and he was able to chip in the game winning goal for his team. Sporting also scored one more goal for good measure as they finished on top by the score of 7-5

The second game was a battle between undefeated Alemania and second place Forest Park in a crucial match-up. What it came down to is if Alemania won this game they would be the champions of the league no questions asked. However Forest Park was able to pull off the upset by beating them by the score of 7-5 thanks in large part to Oscar Yepes who scored the hat trick for his team. With that Forest Park is now down by 2 points so they need to win next week and hope for an Alemania lose to claim the trophy.

The third and final match took place between CD Iberia and Molon Labe. Molon Labe had the game in the bag from the start as they took an early lead and never gave it up as they went on to win by the score of 10-2. Jon Simos scored the hat trick in the win as well.

Next week is the final week of the season as Molon Labe, Forest Park and Alemania still have a shot at the title so next week’s games are crucial. Only one place you can see those games and that’s at Globall Sports Center! You got game? We want you to play!

Tuesday, January 3, 2017 12:50:16 AM

As the end of the season gets closer every team is still battling to claim the top seed in order to be crowned champion of Globall Sports Center. Week 5 highlights are as followed.

Game 1 featured CD Iberia taking on Alemania. The game was close throughout the match as Danny Bava scored twice for CD as well as Chris Megaloudis scoring twice for Alemania. However the key factor to the game was the goaltending from Vinny Pellegrino of Alemania as he helped his team win the game by the score of 5-2.

Game 2 was a back and forth boxing match between Molon Labe and Nassau United as each team traded blows like boxers in the ring. One team threw a punch then BAM the other team threw an upper cut in retaliation and it was just a bloody fight. With the match even at 5-5 with both teams wobbly from the fight Molon Labe had just enough strength to throw the knockout punch with the right before the bell rung with Nicholas Tziazas throwing the final punch to push his team to victory by the score of 6-5. Jon Simos also scored 4 goals for Molon but a game winner is a better highlight.

Game 3 was the second game of the night for CD Iberia as they took on Sporting FC. Despite playing two games in one night CD Iberia did not show any tiredness as they dominated Sporting by the score of 12-8 with both Adrian Russo and Carlos Vazquez scoring 2 goals apiece for CD.

The fourth and final game featured PDB Academy vs. Forest Park. There was intense action in this match with Jonathon Jaramillo and Oscar Yepes scoring 2 goals apiece for their squad Forest Park as they carried their team to the W by the score of 6-4.
